The Drawing Project, curated by Manchester based artist Jenny Core, opens on Thursday 13 February 6 - 8 pm at Castlefield Gallery, Manchester. castlefieldgallery.co.uk

Curator at Manchester Art Gallery and co-selector of the exhibition Kate Jesson will officially open the exhibition at 6:15pm following which there will be a live Drawing Performance by artist Claire Weetman.

Artists include Jenny Core, Sophia Crilly, Hondartza Fraga, Mary Griffiths, Lesley Halliwell, Jenny Steele and Claire Weetman; all at different stages in their careers, all based in the Northwest and who each respond to the medium of drawing in diverse and innovative ways, including 2D & 3D drawing, drawing installations, animation and performance.

Exhibition Continues: 14 - 23 February.

There will be an opportunity to discuss the work and ideas in the show with Jenny Core and students from The University of Manchester at a 'Special Event' on Saturday 15th at 2pm.
